Saturday dim sum was pretty good. Selection left something to be desired. I'm guessing they expect fewer people. The food was good.

Excellent Chinese restaurant. I have been coming here for years and they never fail to satisfy. The food is delicious. The decorations are beautiful. The prices are fair. Stop by for a relaxing lunch... you will not be disappointed.

I visit this restaurant a lot! This is my favorite place to dine. I visit this spot frequently. The meals are just great, the staff members are courteous and the payment is good. I like eating in this restaurant over a decent supper.

This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences my family has ever had. We went in for dinner at around 845 on Saturday night. Service was fast and friendly. The best part? My son, my wife and I didn't pick out anything to eat. The gentleman working picked out our dinner items for us. Dim sum style!! Everything was so delicious. We will be going back. 1hr and 15 min drive totally worth it.

This restaurant is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The crew is very affectionate and the cuisine they place on your table is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this place. Highly recommended.

Love love dim sum. This place was great, fantastic service and great food! My mom knows the owners but it didnt seem to matter, very good hospitality. Will definitely come here again. Such good food!

Hands down THE best Dim Sum my family and I have ever had. We’ve been there four times and it has been amazing every time. Great staff too....always extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Excellent prices too. After having Dim Sum in Seattle, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.........we weren’t expecting to find such an awesome place here in Ohio but we are glad we did. Disappointing for the wait and lack of communication with the hostess/staff with customers. @ least 10 others left besides my family of 5. We went too 99 Restaurant and was seated within 5 minutes. Amazing food and service @ 99 Restaurant!

We have come here for years but it had been quite some time since our last visit. The food was very fresh and tasted wonderful. The staff was exceptional. We won't wait so long to come back again.

What an amazing place! The ornate decor of the interior is very stunning to a new visitor. The whole atmosphere of this place is warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly; helping to explain their dishes and other offerings. They made our dining experience so personal and enjoyable. The food was among the best we’ve experienced at a Chinese restaurant. We highly recommend this place and are sure to visit again soon.

Not only is this a well decorated, clean establishment but the owner is always floating around seeing how things are going and chatting with the regulars. We had a party of 16 and our waitress, who was short on small talk but big on getting our orders, didn't miss a beat. She got every single order correct and split the checks exactly as we asked. In addition, it was a birthday party and the owner served the cake we brought on his own platter that sang the birthday song! Gave us plates, spoons, etc. Almost forgot to mention, the food was outstanding! This is a first Chinese place!

I would rate this place as pretty good. The pricing was a mystery for dim sum, which could have been my fault because I wasn't asking every time they came by with small plates. We spent over $50 for two, which was really unexpected. We were full for sure, but I didn't consider the food quality nearly high enough to warrant spending so much on lunch. I am not a huge fan of the Chinese buffet, but I would have chosen the Chinese buffet over the dim sum even without considering the cost.

Went there for dimsum. Ive had better but it was really good. The ribs were a bit tough but the flavor was good. The shumai was also really good but i felt the texture was a bit off. The staff were also really friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!!

Comforting and timeless decor made us happy. The food was 100% delicious - each person's dish was prepared perfectly. The hot sauce (mustard?) was the best we've ever tasted and it was HOT! I wasn't expecting it and I inhaled as it neared my mouth, my sinuses were cleared in a flash of OH MY GOODNESS WHERE IS MY DRINK!? Our waitress said she makes it herself. The wonton soup was spot on and the detail on the wonton itself was beautiful. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sesame chicken was also perfectly battered and cooked, the chicken was tender and moist inside. The orange shrimp eater is quoted as, "uhhhhhhhh delicious!" We will be back as this beats anything we had back home.

Ordered takeout. Got the sesame chicken and fried rice. Chicken was dry and super spicy for sesame chicken. Fried rice had big balls of white rice in it and really seemed half prepared. I understand takeout isn't usually as good as eating in but I waited for the food to be cooked and then walked 2 minutes to the hotel across the street. No reason why the food should have been made poorly.

Had the Hong Kong chicken was like an explosion of flavor nvr had before the decor was really nice and also the service is great. and then they have times they walk around with food carts and you pick what u want right off carts

Unpleasant experience. Imagine starving and looking forward to good food just to have to throw most of it away. I ordered the General tos Shrimp and got batter instead. the shrimps were tiny and fried inside massive amounts of batter. I literally threw 80% of the food away. It really sucks when you spend your hard earned money on something, just to be disappointed. $15.00 thrown out the window. Never again!

Update: I came here a lot now. The food reminds me of home. Last time, I had the Beef Stew. It was very delish. (See picture)Being from Honolulu, Hawaii, it's hard to find good asian food in Cincinnati area. But this place is super good. I've tried their dimsum (see pictures). They're not the best I had, but they were delicious. Also I had their Yeung Chow fried rice, wonton soup and they're super delicious. The place is clean, owners are very friendly and always walked around to check on us. We had small talks which rarely happened in any chinese restaurants. Definitely I'll bring more friends and family here.

First time visiting and it was very good! The owners and staff all are very welcoming and nice. We definitely will be back and refer others.

It had been a few years since we visited Grand Oriental. But it won't be so long before our next visit. The egg rolls were incredible. We had a great meal!

We had the mandarin crispy beef (off menu), combo egg fu yong, and egg rolls and couldnt be happier. Super fresh ingredients, very sum staff, and wonderful ambiance in a clean, elegant setting. We will definitely be back for dim sum.

Absolutely delicious! Been serving tasty dim sum over 30 years and I’m so glad I came across the place. They serve dim sum all day but make sure you ask for the menu when you sit down.

This is unquestionably one of the finest place to eat in the region. Anytime I visit this place I am so happy. They preserve their very high level service and the topmost level of food they provide. You always win with this restaurant. Very recommended.

This is the best dim sum to be had in Cincinnati OH, but I believe it is offered only on Sundays. The rest of the week you can order off the menu. But if you have the time and the inclination, do yourself a favor and try the Dim sum. The black bean dumplings are to die for, but everything is scrumptious. You sit at your table well they bring around a charge loaded with goodies. You make your selection from the cart oh, and they will keep a running tab for you. In the next cart loaded with other goodies comes out, and you're in a quandary trying to decide what to get. It's a lovely predicament to have. Excellent customer service. The place has gorgeous carved wooden dividers and doorways, adding to the Lush atmosphere.

My bestfriend treated me to dinner here. I met the owner because my friend and her husband go there a lot. Before leaving we were treated to free sherbert. I'm not a big fan of sherbert, but I appreciated the gesture. I will definitely return, with my own family. Thank you for a pleasent experience.

The staff was friendly and the dining room was elaborately decorated, but the food and restaurant hygiene left a lot to be desired. We dined here for lunch on a Saturday for dim sum, and it was the worst dim sum I have ever had. The dumplings were exceptionally greasy, temperature abused, and mostly inedible. Also, aside from the dining decor, the restaurant had a lot of deferred maintenance that over all contributes to a lack of hygiene that worried me as a diner. If you're looking for dim sum, there are better places. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I walked in about noon, no one was there.( as in customers) that was kinda concerning to me, it being my first time there. Ordered a takeout. The food was okay meat was kinda tough. I had some of their crab rangoons, they were delicious. I like to eat them with sweet and sour sauce which they provided but it was thawing out as if it was frozen. They were super friendly though!

Review based on two seperate visits. Both times the food was very good however upon leaving i began questioning how the check split two ways was $20+ per. 2 months after this, i went back with the same friend with the aforementioned in mind. Instead of blindly paying i asked the man who appeared to be the manager how he totalled my order for 5 dishes at $40. He said it was 7 dishes to which both my friend and I explained in detail what we had. He said they didn't make this mistake and began asking if i had other dishes. After 10 minutes of going back and forth with him and being made to feel like i was stealing food he agreed to remove the two dishes or $10 overcharge from our bill. Great food, just note what the waitresses are marking as they serve ur dim sum.

Amazing duck (probably the best duck I have had the pleasure of eating). The service was good. I would recommend ordering off of the dim sum menu (there are some intresting and tasty items to try in it). I would highly suggest giving this place a try.

Great dining experience - first time we have gone there. The fish with black bean sauce was wonderful. My Orange Chicken was also very good.They do Dim Sum on the weekends. Try the sesame balls for dessert. We're definitely going back.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is fantastic and the stuff is very friendly and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a pleasant time. highly recommended.

Dim Sum!!!!This is the best dim sum I've had in a long time. The staff is so personable and down to earth; they make you feel so welcome. Tip: don't get the large bowl of congee unless you have a large group and ask for veggiesEverything we had was super fresh and packed with flavor. Since we were starving we said yes to almost everything on the first cart. Order with reserve hahaThe ribs were tender, the beef tendon (always my fav) was the perfect mix of gelatinous goo and beefy goodness, the congee was so tasty and very filling, the pork egg rolls were crispy so flavorful, the shrimp balls had great texture, the soup dumplings simply devine, we weren't fans of the chicken feet, we loved both sticky rice options, and as always sesame balls were on point!

Grand Oriental is open for business for dine in now in June 2020, and have been for three weeks, even though google states it is closed. It is fantastic!

Absolutely stunning inside! The owner and employees were exceptionally diligent and kind. I didn't feel the need to dress up but could easily do so and not be looked at strangely. I will be back for sure!
